![]() During my visit to Belize, I had the privilege of staying at a private island resort www.MayanIslandsResort.com with a few good friends and the founder of the Island Scott Mallick. We had an amazing time experiencing the cuisine, the culture and the infrastructure of the richest town in the country, San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize. Prior to my visit, all I saw were pictures which cannot describe in words the beauty of the island and the craftsmanship of the facilities. ![]() From the moment we arrived on this Private Island, we were greeted by friendly staff and a sumptuous five course dinner that we enjoyed every night. There is nothing like having your own private chef on a private island that will prepare fresh seasonings, pick the fresh produce, select the finest seafood, (i.e lobster, grouper or snapper), a variety of steaks and decadent deserts topped of with latte or cappuccino with also choice of fine wines and just about anything you could want or ask for. ![]() We then ventured into the town of San Pedro to listen to some live music and experience the local culture only 3 minutes away by boat. After a night on the town with friends we called the boat captain and within minutes the boat was ready to whisk us away to our our private island getaway. I arrived at my 2000 sq ft private island beach front villa on star island where I retired for the evening to my master suite. I quickly realized that the staff had laid out a fresh robe and two ice cold bottles of water. I turned my head and looked out my window and saw the moon glistening on the water and realized I was in paradise. The cascading water of a hot indoor/outdoor shower was refreshing, topped off with an evening movie. Helipad, Cuisine, 20 Min to World Famous Blue Hole , Ancient Mayan Ruins
